This blog post is about an article that talks about the proximity to sports facilities. To be more specific, the article researches the study of girls in Germany to relate to the proximity in which the sports facilities lie in. The main issue of this article is that girls who live in more rural areas are less likely to go to a gymnasium. By having girls in rural areas not going to the gym that is not in their proximity, they are less likely to participate in indoor sports and activities. Therefore, there should be a solution where a gym could be built in the proximity of the rural areas so that girls could increase their chances of participating in indoor sports and activities.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Rachel. I thought that what you have to say was interesting and something that I hadn't really considered before. I did not grow up by a gym and maybe that's why I never really went to one... and still don't go to one:). This might explain my current body. Haha jk but I did appreciate what you had to say and I think it is an important issue!
ReplyDeleteEveryone should have an equal opportunity, but gyms aren't the only way to stay fit. It would be better to learn how to stay fit through other means that aren't just at workout locations.
ReplyDeleteI agree with McKay. There are lots of ways to be fit outside of attending an actual gym. It could become a big issue if everyone refused to drive to a gym and wanted one right across the street.
